1931: O/Y Suomen Autoteollisuus A/B was established in Helsinki.
1939: Tor Nessling acquires majority of shares of O/Y Suomen Autoteollisuus A/B.
1943: Yhteissisu Oy was established in Helsinki, a new truck factory was built in Vanaja commune.
1948: Yhteissisu Oy was terminated as a company, as a replacement was established Vanajan Autotehdas Oy.
1960: O/Y Karia A/B was merged to Oy Suomen Autoteollisuus Ab.
1968: Vanajan Autotehdas Oy was merged to Oy Suomen Autoteollisuus Ab.
1981: Oy Suomen Autoteollisuus Ab celebrates its 50 years birthday. Company changes its name to Oy Sisu-Auto Ab.
1985: A new axle plant in Hämeenlinna was opened.
1993: Ottawa Truck Corporation, KS, USA was purchased to strengthen market share in terminal tractor business.
1995: Sisu Axles business was separated from Oy Sisu-Auto Ab as an independent company called Sisu Akselit Oy.
1996: Sisu Corporation (a 100 % government owned company) was split into several units:
Military business were put in Patria Industries (included also other than Sisu Corporation units)
Sisu Terminal Systems, Sisu Truck and Sisu Axles were sold to Partek Oyj, a listed diversified company, where the government had a stake.

1997: Sisu Corporation and Partek Corporation merge together.
1998: Partek Oyj acquired Kalmar in Sweden and Kalmar Industries was formed (still a 100 % owned Partek Oyj subsidiary) Kalmar Industries now included the former Sisu Terminal Systems, Kalmar port equipment and forklift truck business, Ottawa Truck and some other smaller businesses. The company was a dominating player in cargo equipment worldwide. Sisu Axles were still a fully owned Partek Oyj subsidiary, but there were investigations to sell the business.
31.12.1999: Partek Oyj sold majority of the assest of Sisu Axles to a new extablished company (name of which was later changed into “Sisu Akselit Oy”), owner of which were investors gathered by Helmet Capital (70 %) and 30 % remained in Partek Oyj.
2002: Helmet Capital organized two capital emissions, where the number of Sisu Axles shares went up from 10,000 to near 25,000 pcs. This diluted the Partek Oyj stake in Sisu Axles into 20 %.
2002: Finnish government sold the majority of Partek Oyj to Kone Oyj (the elevator company) and also the rest of the owners soon sold their shares as well to Kone.
2004: Kone Oyj sold Sisu Trucks to a private investor group. The shares in Sisu Axles (the 20 %) were part of this deal.
2008: Sisu Truck sold their Sisu Axles shares to the other owners of Sisu Axles.
2010: The owners of Sisu Truck sold the company to two families, who currently run the company.
16.12.2011: Sisu Axles Inc. joins Marmon Highway Technologies (MHT). MHT is a Berkshire Hathaway company, serves the global heavy-duty transportation industry, with a broad range of innovative components and assemblies.
